Program Description
Who We Are
What makes a leader? Each year, the Texas A&M University Business Fellows Program selects 50 of the brightest and most promising business students and challenges them to search within themselves for the answer.
Fellows participate in a semester of rigorous development and testing, featuring weekly seminars, team-building exercises and real world experiences. Throughout, Fellows explore, discover, ponder, learn, confront, transform and grow - as future ethical business leaders and as people - forming connections that will serve them throughout their personal and professional lives. One of the premier professional development programs at Texas A&M, Fellows opens a door into the wider world and prepares students to take their place in it.
What We Do
The Fellows Program begins with a leadership retreat at the beginning of the spring semester to give the new group of students an opportunity to create relationships and prepare them for the semester as Fellows.
The Fellows class is held Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Seminar topics cover an array of personal and professional principles including professional development, resume writing, interview skills, corporate ethics, professional dress, and business etiquette. From 6 to 7 p.m. a reception and career opportunities seminar is presented by the industry partner for the evening. Class immediately follows from 7 to 9 p.m.
The program also emphasizes out-of-class activities such as community service projects, The Samurai Game® Experience, Professional Development activities, and receptions and dinners with industry partners and corporate executives. Additionally, Fellows have the opportunity to travel to New York City over Spring Break to visit major corporations in the business capital of the world.
